Is that right!?
May I ask by how much you're noticing?

We're still not able to break the 31MPG mark that we were able to do (fairly easily before) in our previous O.Sport, I'm really wondering if Mitsu changed the composition of the diaper filter in our second vehicle we're driving now to have effected it that much.

No matter what I've tried...
- driving habits the same.
- driving routes similar enough.
- gas station/fuel exactly the same.
- Used FWD Mode exclusively (for several months). And, also AWD-Auto in others.
- Everything was Stock in both vehicles. And, exact same trim level.

It's just a tad of an annoyance.

Full Disclaimer:
Granted in our first O.sport, we didn't have the Curt hitch nor the baby carrier/base installed at the time, during our daily commutes.
But, I can't imagine it causing that much of a mpg drop.

I am waiting to run a full tank of gas through which i just filled it up after installing the filter. Already the Average MPG reading after one day went up about 6-7 mpg!! I was only getting about 310-320 out of a full tank. I am on pace to run 380 now!!

Hey guys I'm new to page and I just had a question thats most likely been answered already but with all the mods everyone is doing wouldn't it just be easier to do the 4b11t engine swap for the evoX along with the drivetrain? And also if someone was going to do the switch how would be the best way to do it? From what I have read I see that with all the mods available HP increase is still only slight overall. So i'm just thinking it may be more efficient to do the swap.

Doing a full drivetrain swap would certainly net you a decent result, but most of the people on this board daily-drive their Outlander Sport's, and many of them have it as a family car.

Yes, the OS seems prime for an evoX swap, but that's just a bit more "aggressive" than most of us are willing to undertake. I think I speak for everyone here, though, when I say that we'd absolutely love to see someone go through with it.

Hi guys

I attached a pdf file that contain the 2015 MPG of my OS. As you can see I spend a lot of time on the road of PR, either to go to the company or a customer. Most of the time I drive on the highway and depending of the area of my last service I like to drive in the mountains on my way home.

Daily I spend 1 to 2 HRS in the traffic jam depending of the area or ending time.
Usually I drive regular....but after a light change I step on the gas hard (hate the super CVT it take forever to hit 40).
My avg MPH in the highway is 57-68.
Regular gas and premium 1 or two times every 2 months
Tire pressure 35-38 psi

That data is with the K&N drop on filter, the CAI Injen and the RPF1 ( only from July to Dec).

I hope this help.... Is not perfect but it give you an idea....👍🏻MPG2015.pdf

Just did a Iridium spark plug swap, and added a k&n filter over the week and MPG went up 5 mpg. Also RPM's went lower on idle.

I'd venture your old plugs were crap. And even K&N will not list any improvement in MPG.

plugs were pretty worn from previous owner as well as filter. Its only a 2015 but this car was not that taken care of.

if you like dust in your engine, then use the K&N. if you like that dust to be FILTERED out, then stick with OEM filter.

I second Landshark's suggestion.

I'll take my chances,
I've been using K&N for all my cars and never had an issue, but to each their own.

Still makes no sense to me: why change the plugs on a brand new vehicle??
