Sway bar tech???
Sway bar tech???
Not knowing much about Mitsu's yet, but seeing that several things are the same between vehicles, is it possible that a set larger swaybars from or for a Lancer/EVO would fit the OS???
I've already ordered a strut bar, but I'm wondering if a set of 22-24mm bars from a Lancer would fit. (are the standard Outlanders bigger?)
Any techs here with some part # or dimentional knowledge to verify this?

The regular Outlander uses much of the same drivetrain except for rear spring perch sizes... ugh.
When I last looked it up I think the rear sway bar was 2mm thicker for the Outlander so it might be a mild upgrade and "should" work in theory. I have a friend with a Lancer that I can slide under in the next few days to see how it's routed. If they are close there might be a chance that a Lancer rear sway bar would work but it would be pure luck.

Thanks HiBoost. that would be awesome if they'd fit.
I just don't have any friends in the EVO or Mitsu crowd (yet) that would have that kind of knowledge.
I wonder if part #'s would be the same??? maybe that's a reference to check.
I'd call my dealer, but they actually told me they're interested in seeing how my hitch install comes out and some advice for their service guy if they can offer installing them to their customers who want them. I get the feeling they're just there for oil changes and simple service.
They did tell me "no problem" with doing the intake but to keep the stock stuff incase a service rep was in for something catstrofic on my engine. I think it'll run a whole lot better after the mods I've got planned.
