That looks like black chrome.
I had no idea PlastiDip can look that good.
One more thing to add to the list of to-do's.

Dipyourcar has really pushed the limits with there combination colors. absolutely amazing actually. in person doesnt look chrome i believe its just there lighting. in personlooks like a custom wheel color done with powder coat. the flake really shows off of the base black in a tasteful manner.

Thanks for the pics/info Chris. I appreciate it. When I did my A4 I had to remove the front bumper, then take the grill off and used a spraybooth and oven at work. I also did the wheels, but I removed them from the car. I was scared to get paint on anywhere but the wheels. I've got some of the Plasti-Dip metalizer and gloss enhancer.....maybe I'll try it on the wheels, or go with a flat black grille, but do gloss black where the chrome would be. Hmmmm......

When I do it, I'll definatly post pics.

totally understand what you mean. im not sure if i mentioned it before.. but any overspray you get on the car, lights, or glass.. can be removed with a micro fiber rag, glove, or polisher; no additives or chemicals, just the rag just allow the overspray to dry before you rub.

tuning pros strut bar arrived today!

quickest and easiest install in the last week. and truly one of the best. the roll is completely eliminated which i was completely over in just less than 7 days. and the fact that the wife would pretty much be in my chair on an off ramp or an on ramp had me highly annoyed. a must purchase for any OS owner. truly.

I love reading everyone's ideas, but as for the front, I think I'm the only person who likes the color keyed center section that everyone seems to like "blacking out." I always tease all my EVO X friends in that if I ever bought an EVO X, I'd paint the center section to match the exterior of the vehicle.

i took a different route and wrapped it to match the gun metal grey rims i have, i liked it when it was blue to match the car but the different color really sets it off for me.

Where did you get that? I'm interested myself. I looked on stores.tuningpros.com and couldn't find an OS model. Did you get one for a Lancer model? Sorry I'm a noob.

Thanks

Poke around a little bit, it's been discussed in detail. Certain years and trim levels of Lancer will fit. I believe base 08-10 and EVO X will fit with no problem. Double check that though.

I got my Ultra Racing FSTB from a 2007 to newer Lancer. Did some research, and anything that fits the newer Lancers will fit the OS.
I know they're not going autocross, but I've had a "hinged" bar before and then went to a solid bar,,,,,,,,, I'll never go back no matter what anybody says. A solid bar IS that much better. Not that the OS will benefit "greatly" from one, I just prefer them, so I get what I know is a good one. The Ultra bar is Beefy, but I wish Nameless Performance made one for Mitsu's. Gold standard IMO.

It was a subtle "search!" I just pointed you in the right direction. If I had known the specific answer, or had some extra time to search myself, I would have just given you a straight answer.

Were you able to find what you were looking for?

This is the one that i have: Shipping was about 7 business days from California to New york:

As for the EVO X Strut bar, it will fit.. but.. will block the brake fluid tube... and if you need to add or fill will have to remove bar.
Some modification is needed as well for the bar to fit.

@texas_travisty has it installed and gave a good wirte up on it:

"EvoX strut tower bar direct fit? NO.
But with a grinder i opened the inside of the 2 outside mounting holes, 10 second fix, then i had to waller out the 2 inside holes on each side, this took some time cause i did not have a bit bigger than the holes. i opened up the inside of those holes maybe a mm or 2 at most, and it fit perfect! took about 10 minutes of going back n forth to get it just right.
I took the time to grind off and smooth the center mounting bracket cause it was just floating out there.
It kinda looks stock n sets right on top of the Greedy intake box too.
the only down side is the if you have to fill your brake fluid you have to remove the whole thing.
I think its well worth it n only was $40.00 best upgrade for the $$$ so far.
Now get to modding!"

Hope this helps.

It was subtle, but tastefully done. Yes I did. I found a couple posts by Krakker and I really like the Ultra Racing solid bar he has....but damn Hostos, I can't pass up that JDM one for $32! Next up is a CAI.

Thanks guys
