Winter wheel/tire combos

No, the road is at the top, house at the bottom--LOL--But Yes, private and quiet.
BTW--I got out yesterday without an excess spin of a tire-

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share this safety tip from my friend who helped me put my winter tires on. Basically this is for anyone using steel rims. The stock lug nuts (hybrid flat washer type) that we use for our alloy wheels are not perfectly seated in a steel rim, and was advised to get regular type so that it sits in the steel rims perfectly flushed.
Now the funny thing is that I used the same lug nuts and steel rims last winter season with no problem, and my new friend/roommate who works as a wheel tech told me about it this week. So I did a little bit more research and found this other thread talking about my issue: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/winte...g-nuts-810483/ Go to page two of the thread, and someone gives a picture example.
Basically it still okay to use our lug nuts with steel rims but it's safer to use the right kind for it.
Cheers,
Jay

Id rather be safe then sorry.
use conical lug nuts with your steel rims. The OEM flat nuts are for the OEM Rims.
As for my wither tires and rims, I am using Steel Rims with Toyo G3 Ice Tires with Studs. I am extreamly satisified and ready for Winter in Quebec.
