Window Seals - Rubber Deformation (PHOTOS)

I had originally noticed it on delivery - the driver side window (upper corner, mostly), but other window's rubber seals had some slight "waves" in the fitment too..
Thinking it was just a minor fitment issue that will "eventually work itself out" with some regular use - of the window(s).

It was Krakker's thread, HERE (Post#11)... That made me realize it was something to keep a closer eye on.

So now, after a few months > it has gotten a lot worse!
What an eye sore..

Driver Door (@ B Pillar) - pretty bad...:

Closeup, different angle - same location:

Overview, same location:

Driver-side Rear Window:

Passenager Door (@ B Pillar) - Much worse than driver-sider:

and peeling from the pillar too, same location:

Even with the window completely up, it's still pretty bad:

I hope they replace them for you.
My dealer was pretty good about checking and recommending they all be replaced.

Although,,,,, they are still not 100% perfect, only one is currently "iffy", and they are now covered up by the vent visors. (I like the AVS ones)

I'm going to give them a piece of my mind if they give me lip about this. I've photographed & video the conditions they are currently in (I just need to post them up later tonight).
So, there going to be incontestable evidence of the disfigurement of these rubber seals.

I don't know that's wrong with the rubber compound Mitsu used in these seals, it's almost like they're gummy bears... They've lost their shape and are kind of curled inward away from the door's window frame.

We'll see what they say tomorrow.

Thanks for the photos! I'll be keeping an eye out for mine as well in case they start to pull away.

I've been wondering what the heck you guys were on about, but now it makes sense! I can't see mine because of the window visors!

I wonder how mine look...

Yeah.
I'd strongly suggest ALL of us double check our window seals.. If Krakker and mine has deformed only after a few months, it would be best to make sure they get taken care of, asap.

Nothing is worse than getting into your vehicle and finding the interior all wet (especially after a blizzard or rain storm) just because the window seal(s) had rotted/warped!
> Next thing you'll probably find/experience is your door switches/electronics stops working if they get shorted out because of this lame issue...

I'm at the dealer now.
They have the seals and will replace under warranty.

I'm a happy customer!

Will post pics of new seals once done, later tonight.

Ok..
update.

They only replaced 3 of the window seals - DS, DR, PS.
They left the Passenger Rear, stating it was still good.
(With the comment that if it ever gets bad, we can still replace it under warranty.)

Well, I'll upload pics of the new seals and let you guys decide.

And, if the wife doesn't say anything about it, then we should be alright...

Side NOTE:
I think I will installed some window louvers for ventilation and to protect these delicate rubbers from UV.
I like the OEM ones - they do look good and seem like a more integrated design, but they don't cover the seals. So, I may just get the generic stick on types.

I was just coming to post about the wind deflectors! My 2011 has perfect seals, so that's either because they used a different rubber in '11 or because I have the wind deflectors.

Also, mine are the OEM ones, and they cover the seals completely.

ah... I see.
I remembered wrong then.

Hmm. Than am I thinking of McNeil wind deflectors? There's a design that seem to tuck into the window instead of covering them.

Yep McNeil's >
