Hello Outlander Sport Area w/questions

Recently purchased a 2014 White SE model from a dealer here in Columbus, Ohio.

Came from a 2011 Ford Escape with 40000 miles that had transmission issues, Ford Sync issues, RUSTING issues!!! Oh and Ford would not warranty the rust.

Couple of questions:
--------------------------------------------
I would like to pick up a Bull Bar (a-bar) they only one I have found is on ebay for @220 bucks. Looks simple enough to install but is it worth it?

Does anyone have issues on a iPhone 5s calling a number and it not transfering the audio to the radio unit?

I would like to get a dash cam for it, does anyone have one? Is it worth buying?

Does anyone know if a fullsize spare tire will fit in the read compartment? I hate temp spares...

Thats all I can think of right now

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

Welcome Kevin.

1. No. I haven't seen any manly bull bars (Yet...) just those hokey mini bars that's out on ebay, like you said.

2. Somebody has already mentioned they had issues with bluetooth sync for music.. Not sure if there's any problems with the phone portion though.

3. I have a dashcam. It IS so worth it and priceless on what you capture sometimes. Just do it. >

4. I believe a full size tire will fit into the compartment. The spare is nearly full-size tire (I haven't checked the size directly but here's a pic of mine in the hatch.), https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ou...you-carry.html >

I've been debating this camera

I've been debating this Bull Bar:

Just as something to kinda cover the front end since there is no real front bumper

Don't know anything about that cam...

This is what I'm using >
  • Dual cam HD DVR (front & back)
  • model: LN-20051
  • 1920 x 720 resolution
  • Cigarette or USB powered
  • support up to 32GB microSD card
  • Auto recording after power up
  • mounting hardware

Yeah, I hear you on the front end protection.
I just wished there was a better looking bull bar out there for our vehicles... That can allow for a tow wench to be mounted also!

No brand name..
It's a generic Chinese unit... >
model: LN-20051

You can find it on Amazon. Just look for the specs I've already listed.

Be fore warned though, the menus are in chinese. Ha ha
You can Skype me if you need help with the menus - I can sort of walk you thru.

But, it's mostly plug&play.

None.
They don't even have one for the 2013's yet.
The 2011-2012's airbox was able to substitute with a Lancer's though. Lucky blokes.
