I was thinking that red calipers on my pearl white RVR would look pretty sweet. Never done anything like this though. There are lots of options; kits; brush vs aerosol etc.

done both methods on previous cars - if your caliper isnt too exposed (multispoke wheel vs a skinny 5 spoke), id use the brush method. quick and comes out good.

the spray method gives a smoother finish, but it takes a long time to mask everything off.

either way, good prep helps.

I agree that spray is definitely smoother but takes a lil prep time and a indoor non windy location (first time I used spray on my last car was in my driveway on a windy day and let's just say I turned the color I wanted my brakes) so this time around on my OS I used "g2 caliper paint" the kit goes for like 30 with everything you need and it's a brush on. I came out great and it was easy. So that's another option. Had it on for 2 years now and still looking new.

maybe 10 minutes per caliper . I dint remove them and did it with a brush , tricky to get the back side but I did

 

do the (what looks like) silver-painted calipers get cruddy after a while, or are you guys just doing it for cosmetic reasons?

luckily the Brembos on my '08 Evo still look like new. hope the OS's are the same.

i bought these for our Subaru (ones labeled 'Subaru', not 'Brembo' - didnt want to be a poser) , because the calipers corroded to hell, but i didnt install them. i thought they looked way too ricey, and instead coated the calipers with rust-converter, which left them black, and declared mission accomplished.

 

I did it for looks and protection from New Yorks generous salt use . Now having said that I just went to look at the other OS in the driveway that is almost the same age and mileage ( with in 1800 miles ) and Im glad I painted mine . After 1 winter the wifes calipers are begining to change color , looks like I will be painting hers shortly

 

I paint the calipers on every vehicle I have ever owned. It adds so much style with little effort and cost. I have a 2024 Outlander Black Edition Pearl White. I am going to paint mine red. I am using the G2 caliper paint kit. I have used other and they require you to put a clear coat on after painting. The G2 caliper paint system comes with an activator that hardens your paint and acts ad as a clear coat. It can withstand the high temps and doesn't wear off. They also make an "Orange" color that is really more of a red orange. It looks really good as well.
