Does (Wheel) Size Matter?

Looking at some new rims so that I can repurpose my OEMs for winters. http://www.1010tires.com/Wheels/DAI+...DW571671534073 But they are 7" as opposed to 6.5" Any issue?

The stock 18" rims on the Canadian GT and SE Limited editions also have 7" wide rims.
Here is your wheel (I assume you will keep your tire) scroll down and you see the comparison with your current set up:
http://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whee...=30mm&scl=50mm
"Tire will stick out 6 mm farther. Rim will stick out 12 mm farther. Acceptable for most cars."
My current winter rims are 6" wide (that is probably the narrowest set up one can safely mount the 215/70 16 tires). You may even go to 7.5" wide. The website I provided is a great tool. It tells you all you need to know.

Yes, I know. This is exactly why I mentioned the GT and the SE Limited. You should not seriously assume that the suspension is different in the ES, SE, GT models in Canada and the US versions (ES, SE). Currently all US models come with 7" wide rims. The European ASX models come with 17" wheels on a 6.5" wide rims. Do not worry, You will be OK. BTW, my stock wheels are just like yours. Use the above website, it is a great tool.

If you open the link I already typed in your stock wheel configuration (left side). I filled up the right side with your new wheel specs. If you scroll down the site will tell you whether this replacement works and what you have to pay attention to.
Some people here stretched the stock (US, and our GT) 225/55 18 tires that were originally on 7" wide rims to 9" wheels. It might be a bit of an extreme but apparently they are happy with it (e.g. TexasTravisty). You can experiment with a site. Further down it also gives you some feasible spec options.

Yes,67.1 mm is the magic number. I am sure you will find one what you like.
You might still want to consider those OEM ones from your own town:

250 CAD for the set.

I have already been in contact with the seller of those! Waiting on pics and location to see. Not if they were only black... (I could get Alberta Wheel to do that but it is more than a custom set. )
