mystery plug

While changing to oil yesterday, I saw this hanging behind the front bumper. What is this. Both horns are connected and I have no trouble lights or messages. Thx in advance.

Could this be for a block heater? Maybe this Mitsu was in a severe cold weather area?

It's possible but I bought it brand new here in Texas.

I should have noted this at the start. A year ago I rear ended someone. Minor hit, No air bags and drove it away but the car had some collision work done on the front. Maybe body shop didn't reconnect something? I didn't notice it last oil change but it might have shook loose from where it was tucked away or connected.

Mine has that too...I think it may be a fog light plug. May have to look up a wiring diagram and compare the wire colors. Mine is just zip tied and tucked by the hood latch.

Looks like the fog lamp plug if it is part of the horn wiring.

Fog light kit depends on his year, what you posted is not for a 2012, which he has. Correct part number is MZ380547EX
