i used these when i had my Evo, and will be using them in my wife's OS when i use it for winter duty and put a set of snow tires on it that don't have TPMS sensors.

The original car has TPMS sensors inside each wheel. The sensors communicate using a wireless (radio frequency) connection with the instrument. If you remove the tires you can see the sensors. If you change the wheels you need a special tool to make the ECU relearn the sensors. On YouTube, there is a video of the TPMS relearn procedure

All, the OP is looking to have the dash display the actual pressure and temperature values from the TPMS sensors. This cannot be done- needs an external display from an aftermarket manufacturer.
