TurboXS :eek5: 3" has one resonator but it sounds like its straight when you get on the loud pedal. It drones a little on the highway above 3200.

The Megan Test pipe is resonated and has an O2 bung. The catback has a resonator in the 2005 - 2006 model. The 2003 to very early 2005 models do not have a resonator in the catback. Here, take a look at my review,CLICK HERE for pictures

My TTP downpipe/testpipe (AKA Megan) are short though, the last hanger doesnt fit right.. we had to fabricate something to get it to work.. some people say they have bent the hanger but I dont see how you can bend it as it's a triangle weld.

Looking at your pix the hangers definatly dont look the same... wonder if they revised it. from yours to mine?

I have no idea...I had 100% fitment, didn't even have to shim or bend anything at all. are you talking about the last hanger of the exhaust on the catback or the Downpipe?

What catback do you have?

There is an MLE03 and MLE05 model which all are interchangeable however the MLE05 has an extra resonator built in, different hangars and comes out at a slight angle.

Not really sure what you mean by interchangeable. They are not. Just so there isn't any confusion to anybody that reads this here is the breakdown.

MLE03 is for 2003, 2004 and very early 2005 evo models. It does not have a resonator and the hangers are different from the ones in the pictures in the link above. It is also a 3 peice unit.

MLE05
is for the mid 2005+ and 2006 models. It does have a resonator and has a "slight" bit more angle to it on the exit. It however,it is a 2 piece unit.

So, not really sure what you mean by interchangeable. For anybody reading, do not try and use the wrong model for your car as it will not fit and the parts are NOT interchangealoe between the models.

If anybody has ANY questions on these please do not hesitate to let me know. I think these are great peices and can answer all of your questions.

05r6,

If your hangers look like this..

Then you should have the MLE03 model.

If your hangers look like the one in these pictures Then you should have the MLE05

I don't know what you are talking about. We are an AUTHORIZED Megan Dealer with over 100 catback installs of their products on the Evo application alone. We have fit MLE03 on 2003-2006 Evo IX without any fitment issues.

There are differences in both models, HOWEVER both models fit ALL YEARS.

Saw 2 black and 1 red Evo heading I-5 North in the Tacoma, Olympia, and Tumwater area. I was a part of 8 Evos heading down on I-5 South.

Well then just as an FYI, the MLE03 did not fit at all on my car. Fitment was nearly impossible but I was able to get it on. It rattled a lot and the tip did not line up in the cutout at all. The ME05 fit 100% perfect, not a single issue....
I guess it was just my car though...
