Oh wow. No wonder people say that smog in CA sucks compared to other states. Thank you all for your assistance. On my way to the licensing office now!

Yeah, WA has a much less painful process than CA. It's also basically pointless.

I took my Evo in with a JDM motor, running rich and a test pipe. Still passed!

Especially if you live far enough away from the Seattle-tacoma area, you don't do emissions lol.

Post count does not increase from posts in: off topic, regional, or show and shine section.

We have a team of midgets who read every post and decide whether or not it counts. It's our way of helping out the little people.

Exactly, though when they split us PNWers off from the NW section, they finally gave me all my posts at the time, which were all Regional posts except maybe 1 lol.

One thing that sucks worse here though is getting a ticket for no plate in the front like i did in my front yard last night. Not sure why a cop was driving through there anyway, must be looking for revenue is all i can think of.

In Cali you just velco/ zip tie a plate on, find a cop or take it to a station, they look at it and sign it off, you send in the paperwork and done.

On my citation it says i can pay $48 or fight it in court on a week day. So basicly it will cost me either way

ok, rant over. anyone win this fight in court btw? I'm thinking pay it and stick the plate in the window when i park it

You have to go to court to do it, but a picture of your car with the front plate affixed will usually get the ticket dismissed.

Note that front plate violations are considered moving violations in WA, and could theoretically affect your insurance. Total bull****.

I've never had a problem with my license plate in the windshield.
