Whats better.. short ram intake.. or cold air intake... I always thought cold air.. but every one is suggestings this AEM short ram intake... opinions???

If its a IX just get an ETS or have ETS make you one like the AEM, w/ a bend, or just get the AEM. I have had both and no problems w/ either, both used on an VIII.

They dont make cold air intakes for evo's Not unless you count custom ones like Lucas or Pauls. I would just get a nice cone filter such as GST or Buschurs. K&N are alright. Don't get a intake pipe if you care about drivability. Oh and those AEM intake aren't that great....

there is a cold air intake i remember seeing it, i think APS made it, thou i never saw one on a car cause you had to remove/relocate the IC spray tank. still worthless IMO. Just get a blow thru set up and use a screen on the turbo itself and be super cool

yeah i think jake get IX.. he really want IX instead VIII..

so AEM is awful intake... lol

im think im going sell all my AMS products and get ETS products.. (4in Intercooler, 3076 HTA turbo kit, Intercooler 3" pipes, something)

How is aem a bad intake? It is expensive but it works very very well? Please explain to me how it is bad in any way

air intake something.. there evo general discuss about AEM intake.. it cause air surge and idle went off and up n down.. im not rememeber so.. so i think Dbsear know.. so ill find a theads

See, I am still learning. I didnt know there was not a Cold air. Sorry for my noobness. Me and billy just talked for over an hour, and Im pretty sure what my setup is going to be..

ETS 3.5" tbe w/megan DP. ETS frount mount with ALL pipping, buschur cone filter intake, and S2 cams.

any objections?

The drivability of its junk and its gains pretty much no power. Theres more than a couple threads showings its problems.

hey jake i got a adaptor plate laying around my place somewhere to put a cone type filter on the stock intake pipe/maf? you want it? for the super JDM price of a venti starbucks?
