Im thinking about putting a turbosmart on though, sounds sick, and i can make it 50/50
Back to the racing schools.... Check out Teamcontinental.com They're done this year, but you'll want to register as soon as you can for next year, they fill up fast.
You'll definately learn that a stock Evo is much more capable than most drivers are. having a ton of HP and n!+1 suspension mods isn't going to help you a lick if you can't read lines, and clip apex points correctly, or set up for brake zones. Trust me, I pass $200k cars at PR wishing I could drive it. Hell, ask ANY Corvette driver who's tracked their car how the stock brakes work, for that matter ask yourself? Driving on a track has almost 0 relation to driving fast on the street. Not only are you out of your element, road racing is VERY hard on your car if it's not set up correctly. Sorry, but street driving, you've never even got your brakes hot if you've used them correctly (on a typical spirited drive), don't be suprised if ****ty pads catch fire.
If you've never had the car on a track before, you're going to get a rude awakening when a Miata passes your 500 bhp Evo...

The only issue I have with it is, in 5th gear, when i accidently get into boost and then let off the gas because i notice im in boost, it stutters a little bit, but its not bad at all!

Get rid of the Tial and buy a new Tial Q in blue to match your car.

And don't forget the local clubs (BMW, Alfa, Porsche), they offer basic instruction as part of their lapping day fee (approx $200 at Pacific Raceways). In fact, they will require that an instructor ride with you unless you're signed off to go solo. Prerequiste is a car control clinc, often held at Bremerton, or prior experience with approval. You have to be a member of the BMW club, which also gives access to the Porsche events. Alfa does not require club membership.
Chris i heard you bought a 2.3 kit today! Where did you pick it up from? What is the compression? What pistons and rods? forged crank?

10:1 compression? you pick it because it sounds cool? or because you want a motor that will never really be usable on pump gas?
