If you haven't tracked your evo you are a noob. First couple of times don't be pissed to see Miata's passing you.

no i road race Lotus Eclise.. and Nova Drag with 350ci with Darts block and Dart Head angle, Dart intake with Demon 850CFM, J Speed Pro piston forged, Froged cranks, rods, value trans etc..

Evo is drag that my first time ever i did in Import drag.. i did muscle V8 drag before.. now im going try Evo compare Lotus Eclise on road race.

Im not use pump gas on 10:1.. going use VP import race gas or Trick Leaded or any racing leaded fuel..

Chris keep the evo as your dd you are not made of money. you can not afford an evo race car. It will cost more then you will think.

If you do decide to build a 2.3 some time in the future go with 8.5:1

10.1 is iffy. Lucas runs it but thats because thats what his setup is designed around. Unless you plan to run E90 or better or VPImport which you wont once you find what it will cost you to run. Just do the typical 8.8 or 9.0. Be more than plenty. You can run pump if need be and its more forgiving for your tune and ignition. I'm sure Aaron or Lucas could give you more insight. But high cp is not always the best idea to play with unless you know what you are doing.

If I were you I would just go 2.0 as you still retain good piston speed and don't have to worry about premature rod bearing failures...unless you can swing 10k for the AMS RR. Couple that with all you bolts ons plus a ported head and and FP Red you could easily roll in the 450-480whp range on E85 or 100octane. Get your car down to 3000-3100lbs (mild weight reduction) and throw some 255 NT01's on there and it would be more than enough to satisfy you. If you were to build a true time attack car as you say I hope you have atleast 50k stored away if you plan to be even relatively competitive.

Forged Performance's car runs 350 WHP and they're first in GT3... It's cool AMS and Greddy have 500 whp race cars, but seriously, take baby steps guys, you'll find out how miserable it is to have the fastest car in a straight line without the ability and expertise to control it. That's what I did when I raced bikes. Open class your first year out of Novice is an eye opener to bad decisions.

Keep in mind, unlike drag racing, your car needs to be built around a rule book. And 90% of all racing classes will not allow boring the block. Don't build a car then decide what class it needs to go in, do it right from the ground up.

Chris, I don't think anyone is trying to be a d*ck, we are just looking at it realistically. When you tcase and trans took a crap you had to take out a loan and a credit card to pay for it. I'm not telling you how to spend your money, cause I don't pay your bills. But, making payments on a car your going to race and break parts. And you will. Just doesn't seem like a wise choice. And Billy's jag about you saying that ordered stuff. You do that a lot. There is a difference between ordering something and contemplating the purchase. Just food for thought. Lups You!
