Yeah, a bit of both. I typically don't get to go fast too often since most of the time I'm driving with my wife and she seems to keep me under control. I was mainly looking for dyno numbers on the ARC stuff, but I'll look into ETS. Thx.

The ETS intercooler piping is great and I would highly recommend it, however, (I love ETS and hate to say this) their intake needs to be redesigned.

ARC is $$$ but its well worth it. One thing that also is nice the ARC induction box uses strait panel filters. This helps with laminar airflow and doesn't disrupt the MAF at all...all cone filters will. I have had two different ones. Powerwise the ARC is actually marginally better which some don't like to believe. They filter very well but flow better than most other filters. One other thing is because of the design your IAT stays much lower compared to your typical cone filter. The looks and quality is far higher than anything else too. That why I bought one

+2 on the ARC is too expensive. Even thugh I can get the stuff from my distributor, I can't see ever suggesting it to anyone. But if someone wants it, I'd sell it. It's not like its bad product. It works well.

As far as ETS. It's not bad. Much cheaper. But there are many companies out there just as good. I know it has the whole local thing going for it.

The reason why ets is so loved by the evo guys is not just because of the local thing. JR has been around forever, all of the old school dsm guys have ran his stuff forever. Plus you can not beat there price or customer service. Plus they will really make you what ever you need with what ever material that you want.

Take this as you will, but I understand that everyone in the NW is all about bang for your buck performance but just that doesn't mean ARC is not worth it? Its more expensive because of where it comes from, its craftmenship, and technology they put into it. Anybody can design a pipe and put a K&N on the end of it. I'm not saying its worth buying ARC if you just want performance but some people do prefer looks and craftsmenship along with performance I don't think somebody should be turned away. If he has $400 to blow on an intake so be it. It performs well in areas where some intakes don't address issues such as high IAT's when tracking your car and not screwing with your MAF.

The polished ETS pipes look great. The local thing doesn't have much to do with it, I use ETS parts because of the excellent customer service. They back everything they make and will do whatever it takes to make their customers happy.

I went ahead and picked up a brand new ARC induction box off eBay for $350 with delivery, not bad I think. I'll think about the ETS pipes, for I am considering performance plus looks. Who knows, maybe I'll want to show it sometime. Thanks for all the help.
