It took me a month for the stroker aspect of my build! There is a fair amount involved: clearancing the block, fitting oil squirters, modifying balance shafts plus all the normal engine build stuff; it's all in my build thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=363610.
If you can't do it yourself I'd have English do it, or just buy a shortblock from Buschur, AMS, or JAM.
There is one shop I know of that has done 2.3L assembly, the machine shop that did my stuff. Accurate Engine in Kirkland, they built the rally car motors for Cascade Autosport. They are 100 bucks an hour and it's involved, and they like to do it all and tell you it's too difficult for you - you'll screw up. I found it tough to deal with them. I did all the assembly myself so I didn't pay them. But I think it would be $1000 for them to assemble a short block minimum. Then you still have all the rest of the work of getting the engine in and out and assembled from the short block.
Basically ask English for a quote to build you a 2.3l or install a 2.3l from a shortblock if you can't do it yourself.
