Proper bedding makes or breaks your brakes too. It also sets the wear patterns on your rotors. Be sure to follow the instructions. You can tell when a pad is fully seated because it will change colors. Stoptech has some excellent tips on their site about it.
If you've ever seen a car where the rotors have deep grooves in them instead of a relatively smooth surface, it's caused by improper bedding. (99% of all new cars on the road)
SS lines/pad bedding
Just wanted to note that SS brake lines are nice, but certainly not required for track use.
I bed pads by accelerating to 60, then brake hard, maybe 80% - 90% (not into the ABS), and slow to 10 mph. Do this 8 to 10 times. You may smell the hot pads, this is normal. Then drive around without braking for 10 - 15 minutes to cool them down and repeat the procedure once more. Or you could follow the manufacture's directions!
