There's a bolt on the other side as well. This is the bracket that the bumper beam bolts to. So in effect it's about the same as pulling it from the bumper.

Got my steering wheel warranty replaced today without any issues from Auburn Mitsu!!! Was expecting someone to give me a little grief with all my mods, but nothing was said.

What brake pads do you think will best suit me? I will probably only do 2-3 track days this spring/summer, and a few autoXs. The pads I have now are almost shot so I want to get a decent set in before AutoX on march 1st.

Keep in mind I DD my car, and will only track it a handful of times.

Thanks.

Hard to beat Ferodo DS2500 for street/light track use. Raceshopper.com has good prices, just ordered another set of rear pads last week.

I've heard from the same brake pad user on last year track day and they were complaining a little bit, but he was quite a fast driver, so it will vary as well.

I honestly think HP+ isn't as bad as people say it is. I had it for 4 track days and it was great. It is more important that your fluid is up to spec.
IE There was an Evo 8 driver and he was running stock pads and rotors on Group 3 (Advanced) TC track day and he was just dying on the track with brake fade. I recommended him to switch the fluid to better grade DOT4 fluids and he went to RRev to get it changed.
He made it back on the last 2 track session and he said it was great. No fade.(On stock pads)

Ferodo's tend to crack/chunk if you overheat them (usually bad braking habits imo). DS3000 are really notorious for it. Still an awesome pad though.

What fluid would you advise using?

ATE super blue if you don't like changing fluid every 6months and is more than enough for most track days. Motul RBF600 if you have the money to spare and don't mind changing it more often and plan to run a more aggressive setup.

Me too. ATE for fluid has worked out great for me over the last 3 years or so. Even when nothere and I lit those pads on fire back in 06 .
