G2 does awesome work...their rates are actually quite reasonable for a shop of their caliber. They actually will align your car to the specifications that you provide...not just *close* like most shops.

I picked up some Garrard Spec Ohlins DFV's.

It ran $225, that includes weight balance, ride height adjustment, and 4 wheel alignment. (-2.0 camber rear, -2.5 camber front)

Chris the rack mechanic actually took the time to get the alignment accurate down to .01 degrees. Not to mention they don't mind if you hang out and ask questions while they do the work.

I assume that location for the tow hook is the lack of your crashbeam?

To the people who race a bit.. (Jason, Jared, Derek)

What brake pads do you think will best suit me? I will probably only do 2-3 track days this spring/summer, and a few autoXs. The pads I have now are almost shot so I want to get a decent set in before AutoX on march 1st.

Keep in mind I DD my car, and will only track it a handful of times.

Thanks.

I run PF carbon Z pads for autoX and HPDE's. They are good for the street/medium tracking and very similiar MOT to Ferodo DS2500. When I hit the road course I will probably swap to PF01's though.

If you are going to run only mild track events and not run R comps or even something like Z1 or 01R's I would just stick with PF, RacingBrake, or Ferodo's. No sense in running an aggressive pad and not have the tire to support them.

My crash beam is modified. And I didn't want the hook to hang out past the front of the bumper. This way the center of the bumper is still the most forward.

My crash beam.

Jake: Ferodo DS 2500's.

Jake, yup, Ferodo DS2500's. It's what I use on the Daily Drive myself.

Group2 is a distributer, and actually is a little cheaper than internet pricing, not to mention they've had product in stock every time I've needed pads.

Jared, is there second set of bolts on the back side of your tow hook? It looks from the pictures that the anchor point is offset a few inches from the point you'd be towed from, pulling a 3200 Lb car, it's going to bend that plate with only those 2 bolts holding it in place.
