Working with so many "older" people and so many law enforcement officials has caused some issues with my car.

I get profiled hardcore by officers until they realize who i am, a terribly awkward situation.

Not sure how I am going to handle the evo IF i do sell it..

pretty sure it has a boost leak, have not had the motivation to figure it out.
i owe 15 on her, 2005 ssl evo 8 with 42k miles, so I know ill be able to break even.

But this is all simply IF i get the promotion, there are a total of 4 candidates.

anyone have opinions on megan or bc racing coilovers for daily use? want to drop the car a bit but don't want to blow shocks by dropping on springs alone so was thinking of picking of a set of "cheap" coilovers. not interested in settings world-record lap times, and the car won't get tracked at all this year, possibly not much ever

^ where did you get the idea that you blow shocks by lowering a car on springs?

just putting shocks under constant compression seems like it will wear them out far faster + they we're tuned/designed/whatever to not have the full travel length

if i'm completely backward in that thinking then please do tell, i'd rather spend a few hundred more now than have to buy new shocks again down the road

Take a gander at the suspension forum. This topic has been covered a bunch. Swift springs and GTWORX springs are a great product and designed to work with our stock struts and shocks. Springs that drop you too low (such as Tein) are a bad choice.

So I'm standing at a stop light in Auburn, yesterday, during my lunch break and was looking down at my radio. Then, I look up in my rear view mirror and see a MASSIVE city bus coming at me at like 3-5mph, I just had enough time to let off the brakes and he hit me, apparently he thought " I already started going forward"..Didn't seem like much damage at first but when I came home I looked under the car and his friggin bike rack when straight into my left frame rail and crumpled it and caused the trunk floor to crumple and bow up! Dayum metro bus!

that sucks about the bus accident, but I assume they will cover it all.

went and saw the midnight showing of Thor at the Alderwood IMAX. Pretty nice screen/sound system; better than Lincoln Center IMO. Good movie too even though I never really read Thor comics (I was more into Spider-Man/Hulk/X-Men/eventually Deadpool/DarkHorse comics).

Yeah, Pierce Transit is self insured. Hoping its not a long process with them. Not sure if if I should go with my insurance and have them go after Pierce Transit..

Small weekend update:

TRE stage 2.5 transmission and ACT HDSS clutch is now fully operational and i'm back in the EB evo.

With 50 miles on the new transmission its already shifting better and smoother than the old transmission did! Oh, and I didnt have to use my foot to get the car moving in reverse in order to get into gear.

Other notes:
1) ACT has awesome customer service and was great to work with during a little warranty application on their products.

2) Always buy twice the quantity of fluid you think you need incase your buddy installs stuff backwards and you have to remove the transmission again.

3) EB evo's get more looks than RR

cat-back vs. turbo-back, will it really matter for street/daily use?

Seems like there would be little-to-no difference between the two, obviously the turbo-back will probably do better dyno-wise but in terms of actuality, there is virtually no difference between the two besides a few horsepower?
