thank god! EvoM is back! I was gonna call Jake and make sure he was ok and wasn't having withdrawls. I setup some NLTS with Tephra mod to keep Jon alive since he was running low on EvoM.

I'm curious why no one actually responded to the question here... VTA vs. resurculation...

Your MFA meters all the air before it's compressed in turbocharger. When you let off the gas, the pressurized intake side needs the pressure relieved. Keep in mind, this air has already been measured and a calculation is done to add the appropriate amount of fuel to the charged air.

VTA purges this air to atmosphere, under your hood somewhere and the 'metered' air is out of the intake tract causing the computer to create a rich condition (The metered air is gone, but the computer doesn't know this.)

With resirculation, your blow-off valve is actually a dirverter valve. It diverts the 'metered' air meant for the engine back into your intake tract, so it can be remeasured and rescaled so the computer can compensate the correct amount of fuel.

So, running VTA, immediate off throttle is going to purge the air out of the intake tract, but the computer will not compensate for it, creating a rich condition until the Blow Off valve has again closed fully.

Now you all know the pros and cons of VTA vs. Recirculation.
