I didn't have my hood vent insulator on at all last winter. I had no problems, and I know at least of 3 other people that had no problems.

1. NEVER try this...pulled my car around the block with wide RE01Rs on their and it was the scariest thing I have EVER done...only and last time my car will see snow.
2. Can't say, but I don't usually leave the hood vent on. Engine bay temps are a good bit lower with it off.

Yeah im not rocking a hood vent and i didnt think it was a problem but just wanted to see what others were doing.

Right now i have Toyo T1Rs and i dont plan to drive all over this winter but i might have to take the car out a few times if it snows like last year... last year i drove my s2k on a few snow days with RE050's and it did ok... nothing great but i was thinking the Evo on the T1Rs with AWD would be a little better.

I drove mine in a foot of snow... very fun snow plow! Luckily it was the first snow and only powder.
