No, I did not get a DUI. There is a DUI chapter in the driving school, that is what I was referring to.

But thanks for assuming?

The verdict is that the parts (ball joints, tie rod ends, camber plates) are just tight and will loosen up some over time, but the pillow ball will never rotate as freely as the stock mount (until it wears out!).

So, they put it back together and I'll drive it a while see what happens. The car handles great, but the steering feel is degraded. Maybe I'll get used to it, if all you eat is dog food you eventually think it tastes good!

Thanks to codgi, dbsears, and jid2 for their comments & suggestions.
Glad it wasn't directly the parts or the install though. I think Whiteline did mention in one of those papers that came with the parts that it will be a couple of miles before the parts "Settle" and you might need some re-adjustments then. Might take a look next time I am out in the garage digging around in the parts bin .

In any case be interesting to see how it turns out. So far, 2010 is looking good for auto x/track but you never know what needs to be remodeled/upgraded with a condo so.....

I have seen them crack rather fast and i have seen them take a while to crack. It is all luck of the draw. If it were me i would sell it and find a ported cast manifold.

You should be happy with it until it breaks. Its not like it is a bad manifold just **** to cracking due to the fact that it is tubular and even more so because it is a cheaply made one. It should make the same power that a ported one will.

you gonna roll your fenders or no? If yes, then I think you'll be fine.

I'm running 9.5's with a +20 and 265s and it doesn't rub THAT much

You should be alright, but you may have to roll them.
