Wow, whats wrong with yours? Mine has the same 40 or so clips, but they are just push clips so one flat-head screwdriver and they pop out in about 4 minutes.

Maybe it was the $60 worth of push clips that i ordered to replace all those damn plastic screw clips? But its easy peazy to take that bish off now!

ahh thats why. mine had 2 different kind of push clips. its the one with the crosshead plastic that looks like a screw but its infact unscrew-able and the push clips that are easier to pop off.

good thing dan had a nice ramp - i was able crawl around safely under the evo.

edit: it sounds like derek really baby his car. wow. good for you (and me because that means my exhaust was once babied by him too!) IMO sitting the evo defeats the purpose of it being a car and wasting $$$ on carpayments and insurance. its like having a gf without fooling around with her. i dont beat the crap out of it, i love the evo to death!

^I see how it be, you don't want to meet the Westerners. We might liberalify you! Glad to hear things went well. Have fun!

Riiiiight, not a public road. I know, this "winter" has been crazy. It was in the 60's today! I do like the sun but I'd prefer it was dumping in the mountains.

Hey, I thought we weren't supposed to discuss what happened with my "pick" set! That was also your first time taking it off. It comes off much easier when you've done it before. i don't have a problem with those philips head tabs, for example.

Quick question - which oil filter do ya'll run? I know this has been asked in general but I figure I'd poll the locals right quick. I would like to avoid running down to a dealer if I can. I think I've heard Napa filters aren't too bad, along with some others. Thanks for any info!

I still use the OEM one. If you need one right now, I have an extra. I usually get a couple from mitsubishiparts.net whenever I place an order for anything. I keep meaning to cut one open to see how good it is but never get around to it.

i also run the fatter OEM mitsu filter. i recently cut one open to check it out and it looks pretty good. Although dealers change distributors from time to time.. we here at honda have 2 diff filters with the Honda label slapped on them. One is good, the other is complete garbage.

I have 10 mitsu filters.... if you need one or two id gladly sell for cheap.

What kind of replacement clips did you get? Hook up the rest of us undertray haters with some info. After my recent tray removal operation, I'll definitely need some replacement ones. I'm so done with the screw type fasteners/torture devices.
