I thought the 05 VIII had most of the IX "upgrades." I don't know for sure, regardless you either have the stock 05 VIII bov or a IX bov.

Yep. That is exactly what I took out. If I had known that was in my car already, I wouldnt have gotten a forge bov..

 

mines an 05 and i had the plastic BOV then upgraded to HKS

Good to know about the 05, Rob. I guess the bov didn't get upgraded for the 05 model.

Old owner probably swapped in the IX valve for the stock VIII. Its not as popular now since there are a couple of aftermarket valves that can hold decent boost and still drive like stock.

 

yeah IX BOV is awesome.., also Metal BOV on VIII if they are MR model.

 

like Jordon and I have said EVOs = New DSMs, this is a conversation much related to 1G and 2g dsms, 1Gs had metal BOVs, and 2Gs had the crappy plastic.

 

I think I'm doing double-duty-drinking at the bar this coming weekend. Talking about some burgers at Red Mill or Lunchbox Laboratory and then karaoke at the Liquid Lime with the North Evo peeps on Saturday (everyone is welcome though, just look at the Northend meet sticky), and then it is my bro's bday on Sunday and I had invited him to the Liquid Lime a few weeks back to celebrate.

The superbowl party I went to was meh. A bunch of people not really into the game while about 2 of us were. Bad seating setup, bunches of kids, I should've just stayed home.

ill pass this weekend. im still working on the carpc i bought from unsung. i just got it from the computershop. the hd crashed before i even got it to work. now i have a wiped out pc with nothing in it. mariah has been bugging me for having no radio. pressure is now on to get it fully working. i hate our garage.

and it will be hearts day this weekend. im still debating if i should go with you guys to ER or just get a emailed retune.

i installed perrin intake and i think my a/f is kind of messed up. fuel economy is down.

and i have ets uicp and licp that needs to go on teh evo.

 

Hey Josel, so you ended up gettin a Perrin intake? Did the guy with the Samco pipe just fall off the face of the earth? I haven't driven enough since I put my intake on to really know if it affected my fuel economy. I'm thinking it'll go down though cuz I find myself mesmerized by the loud sucking noise everytime I hit the gas pedal now
