Damn, I was hoping to get those buh-dass wheels included. Is there at least a jar of vaseline in the cup holder for whatever it is that you shift with???

hey guys i got a question.

Im planning on upgrading the turbo on my evo 8.

I have like 2-3 different options im trying to choose

I want the car completely DD, but preety dang fast

im thinking FP red, Buschur HTA 35r kit, or Ams 35r kit, or FP green.

My mind is mostly on FP red, but i wanted to see if i can get locals inputs.

Thanks guys!

^ why is the fp black not an option since you have the 35r kit as one?

dan: got a seibon oem, and transferring my rexpeed carbon hood vent over. should turn out pretty nicely! getting the new greddy gauges put in now as my valve cover is in the powdercoat shop...

^he likes it so much so that he is moving to a 30r!

I ran the Red for a bit and I am now running the Black. IMO for a DD, the Black is the turbo to get right now. The difference in price between a new Red and a new Black is $50, and the difference in spool is 200rpm, so that is a no brainer.

The Black will spool quicker than a 35r, but it won't make the top power of a 35r. On a pretty mild build I am making over 500whp, which is plenty for most of the owners out there. Going with better cams and eventually a 2.4L stroker should get me closer to 600whp if necessary.

If you want closer to stock spool then go with the HTA Green or maybe look at the BBK options. You should make some of the meets where you can talk to people in person and maybe even get a quick ride. Good luck!

Well there is a bunch of us headed down to English Racing in Vancouver this coming Saturday. Long drive, but you'll want to get acquainted with the guys down at ER when getting tuned for whatever turbo you go with.

The following weekend there is a meet at the XXX in Issaquah. Look in the general NW forum and you should be able to find the threads.
