i so wouldnt own a boat right now, glad i sold mine before i left kentucky. you think gas is expensive for our evo's just imagine filling up a 28 foot zodiac with twin suzuki 225's....horrible on gas.
Yeah gassing up a 40 gallon tank in the boat is horrible - it will put you in the poor house.
I'm kinda out of the actual wakeboard "scene" these days, I don't keep up with new boards or boats. Or maybe I don't care anymore. When I was off during summers from college and was single all we did was wakeboard, but that was 4 years ago. We had a whole crew from Lake Tapps that went to the NW tournaments and rode in advanced and semi-pro, but must of us don't have time for screwing around like that anymore.
I ride a Shawn Murray Belmont board that I really like, I've screwed around on some friends newer boards and never liked them. I could use new bindings, I'm running some rebuilt 3060's but until they break I won't spend the money.
Last year I crashed on my first run of the season and got a pretty serious concussion and didn't ride the rest of the year. That was crappy.

Doing a sweet little 180 as a gimmie trick going into the dock. I had a pretty good run full of all my standard flip tricks and then crashed on a half-*** 180. I got off balance and the tip dug into the water and slammed the side of my head against the water like a freight train. I had a headache for 2 days. I've blown an ear drum crashing and that REALLY hurts. Water is hard stuff when you slam against it.
