Once I'm able to get that I'll be one happy evo owner. First mod planned will be a Greddy Ti-C and possible get rid of the tein springs and get some swifts in.
Very cool. Congrats, and we'll see you soon! BTW - how much did you eventually get it for, if you don't mind me axing.

^THIS! Though I still like the louder exhaust, I'd definitely recommend a dump!

Not sure my EB evo should be on that add, but whatever!
That is way cooler than your Evo; JDM FTW!

So.. I stopped by Drift Office in Auburn during lunch the other day and talked to the owner about a tune. Supposedly they work on alot of Evo's. Can anybody chime in?

well they work on a lot of cars... all kinds of japanese imports... usually for tuning most people go with English Racing... and ER holds a lot of dyno days at DO... i dont know how many people have been tuned by DO but i know about 90% of us are tuned by ER... and they are on point and very helpful, but so is DO... they just havent tuned as many evos as ER from what i understand.

Well what i need is basically go back to stock set up....looks like the previous owner had a full exhaust and maybe intake. Now, everything is stock except test pipe. So when I punch it I get a stutter...

Owner was asking $26,000 OBO. We offered him a starting offer of $23,000 and worked our way up to $24,500.

I would suggest grabbing some minor mods (like exhaust, intake, & LICP) THEN contact Aaron (John Bradley on these forums) from English Racing about setting up a tune. It really is worth the drive down to Camas to have a proper tune done and even just a few light mods will really shine.

-ER does occassionally come up to Drift Office to do tuning, but you kinda just missed them.
-You might be able to get ER flash tuning to get you by until you can get some time on a dyno http://englishracing.net/services/ev...-eflash-tuning
-There are great deals to be had in terms of parts (and even help with install) right here on Evom. I know Minh has an extra exhaust he would likely sell cheap, I have a works drop in air filter I can give you, region marketplace, etc..

very cool! This should be a cherry of a car, and the timing for you was damn near perfect! Another new owner on here (relatively new) looked around for 1 year for a GG MR and eventually settled for a WW. Since that time, I've seen numerous GG MRs; obviously you got really lucky!

Bob (the owner) is a great guy, and the people that work there are extremely helpful and nice. If going back to a stock-ish tune I would imagine they would be able to help. I agree with Jason that they definitely don't have the experience of English Racing, if you thought at all about making some minor modifications. G/L!

stutter? if it sounds like a dying duck, your dv/bov might been installed incorrectly.
