***Official WA Chat Thread***
thanks! All you WA Evo owners seem super cool, I might come down to one of your meets one day. Anyways yeah he has a big collection of cars (this is his 10th car) and the current green rims have all seasons mounted. So i doubt he tracks or auto-x's with the all seasons lol. He's a 48yr old business owner so he barely gets time to drive this car. I'll be sure to go through all the gears. I'm going to get the original colour BBS rims with the stock advan tires. I'll keep you guys updated!
Thanks again for the warm welcome!

GL with everything sir. im actually exited for you! hahaha

...jk. Man I'm not going to sleep at all from now until I get teh car
So I went in neutral and revved to see if he would floor it (knowing the cop was 4 cars back the whole time), he took that as a race and went for it.....

no actual racing took place.
If it was the truth then he told you we're the most awesome douche bags ever!
BTW: anybody ask the guy if the 7,000 miles are on the original engine? or perhaps miles since a rebuild? How many miles on the chassis? Its just a little uncommon to have that strange set of mods (or went back to stock) with 7,000 miles on the clock and not be on the evoM community in some way.... Nobody has chimed in that they know the seller or the vehicle?
^it could be a newer cluster too. :P
ryan, dont freak him out.
brendan, meet ryan. he's the biggest DB here as he mentioned in his post. hahaha
ryan - he is into detailing as well. he is pretty good as he just finished HS i think...

Maybe check what brake pads he has on there. If they are the stock pads in basically new condition then the 7k miles are likely legit. If he is running Racing Pads you know the car was likely tracked. But even if it was thats no biggie, these cars can take a lot more abuse than people give them credit for. They are purpose built after all.

same with the sways. Nothing major I'm not worried at all. The owner is a nice guy, he's a 48yr old business owner. Anyways, I have a deposit on the car so I should have in a week.
He merged onto WSB from 99 South and saw me crusing and wanted to start some mess, revving, blowing his blow off valve all over the highway (icky!) and general small dikery behavior.

Yeah I'll be sure to do that. It's 7000 miles on the original engine and 7000miles on the chassis. The green rims were influenced by his nephew who has orange rims on his car. The lowering springs are tein

P.S. If you are driving down to pick it up, you should seriously consider taking it to English Racing to get it tuned while you are down here. You will be glad you did.

48yrs old and green rims that some 17yr old punk would run...humm do inspect the car nicely. Oh and pull those Tein springs off RIGHT away if you value having your MR Bilsteins lasting much past 15k miles. Other than that car seems nice...do give it one hell of a once over though.
Good point on the pads he is running, Jason.
Speaking of dick...hell, you kinda remind me of...me!
Nicely done, sir, I mean ***, I mean sir!
I don't think this is too uncommon. I know there are a lot of owners out there not on this site. In general for cars, I'd say the majority of owners don't belong to specific car sites even though they wrench on cars.

Teins dont blow springs, improper spring installs damages springs. Luke has 35k on his car since he bought it (with S techs on it btw) and something like 71k total. Struts are fine, and trust me he doesnt drive easy.
so i was eagerly waiting for my wheels to arrive today and after checking the UPS status i was heart broken...

turns out the natural disaster was a rock slide in montana that hit the train that my wheels were on... the UPS representative said they are gone and that the i need to call the shop and have them submit a claim... so i guess the fun begins!
