I emailed that seller about a week after he put it up, I offered him $21,000 and he said he'd take it. I wasn't serious at all just seeing how negotiable he is. It's been in a pretty big accident regarding the front end. If that was a WW and not been in an accident it'd be in my garage by now

If you want good seafood I would recommend Clearwater on Fri and Sat. I am a diehard seafood fanatic and it's probably one of the best places I have tasted around these parts. Fresh large kind crab...the shiz nits. Anthony's isn't bad either.
it pisses me off too because my evo was in that price range a year ago but its all gewd.. nice avatar derek. you're evo looks clean!
i have a favor to ask for you guys.... if you are nearby southcentre mall. can you please check if a fast food chain called Jolibee is open? i believe its inside "Seafood City". we kept hearing rumors that its open AND not open. we want to check it out but we want to make sure that it is actually open for service... senk yooo

Honestly I would look in Cali...they tend to be better taken care of and have lower mileage. I hate to say it but most evo owner's in WA have endured bad weather and snow. In CA they are predominately wealthier (meaning the evo is not a DD), the car never see's bad weather, and they are generally cleaner. Obviously all opinion but it's pretty relative if you keep an eye on it.
I bought mine in Cali from a very nice fellow and Porsche TT owner. Mine was about 1yr old with low mileage and literally looked and smelled Brand new. The 16hr drive back home was the best experience I ever had in the car. I continue to keep my eye's open for my current interest and there is a very high likelihood I purchase my next car down there as well.

I found one 2 weeks later with 31K miles for under $20K but it was barely running and had minimal damage to a fender plus a non-working ACD.
Got it running for less than $1K and did the paint correction myself. And warranty application for the rest of it!
But anytime you buy used you have to assume an average of ~$4-5K in eventual repairs. I'm at about $3K in replacing parts that the previous owner was too stupid or cheap to replace properly the first time.
Just a word of warning I would tend to stay away from anything with aftermarket cams...you are playing with fire as it's easy to screw things up. He most likely didn't do the frowned upon 1x1 headstud install seeing as he has an aftermarket headgasket. But that could bring upon the fact if he hurt the original headgasket. That and the fact he has BC (Bogus Cams). $24k is alot for an RS too.
Be VERY picky looking for an evo...they are usually romped on and 3/4 of them are owned by people less than 21. Hard to find ones without mods or even then they may have previously been modded. But there are enough for sale you usually get lucky if your patient. I would definately take somebody with you knowledgeable on evo's as their are usually tell tell signs on if it's been modded or been driven hard.
#1 don't buy one from a stealership...joy ride central (been there seen it done)

these are great tips. hopefully he sees these pointers/tips.
the only regret i have is picking an evo i want to buy without personally looking at it. it sucked that i drove it out the lot with a slipping clutch. its all good as it costed me less than $1000 for the repair..
