Nope, the poor thing is going to have a battle scar for a while. I have to do my timing belt & water pump first.

 

^why dont shangie tackle the 60k service? you can wait for russell to have somekind of promotion and buy the supplies from him. if not, i would find out how much the dealer would charge for labour to do the service. that way they can check for some other stuff too. thats what i did for my 30k service and i saved $$$.

 

I actually have about 40 varieties of clips neatly organized in a huge bin. Let me know if you ever need some.

He can do it. Hardest part is putting the belt back, setting the timing marks right, and setting that hydraulic tensioner thingy back on. That part took me a while.

 

did you read my post? I said yes on the former (Shangie doing it) and no on the latter (taking it to the dealer).

Shangie and I were talking about doing work on that timing belt.
