had a little car in the garage on Saturday. 2004 Land Rover.

Unfortunately the massive off-road battery died during the detail (Brittish electrical systems to the rescue!) so the car didnt leave the garage before the sun went down. More pictures will be taken today!

great job! What pads/polish combination did you end up using? I hear the clear on those are pretty hard.

 

The clearcoat is super hard. It must be a german thing (This year rover is 95% BMW X-5 including the painting facilities used)

I used a Lakes country orange pad with 3M Perfect it III for the base cut (owner didnt want to go as aggressive as the Menzerna super intensive polish) with a dark formula 3M finess it on a black pad.

Used Wolfgang v3.0 deep gloss paint sealant.

Owner isnt a car-care nut and maximum lifespan of a man-made product was more important than overall clarity and depth.

I wish I could make the meet but I'm leaving the house around 6-630 in the AM so I can get down to a Banner Bank around 930-10:00. Then hopefully I'll be on my up to the border around 10:30 so I don't hit rush hour traffic. My temporary insurance only lets me drive the car to my house and to the shop for inspection. I'll be sure to come down for a meet though.

^sounds like it. At least in the online world. For a bit there, Brendan was going to pick up Josel's exhaust it sounded that way, anyway. I think he is getting the exhaust from John now, though.
