Hey guys, i'm nearing the dreaded 60K mile tuneup and wanted to know what all you would reccomend replacing at this time.

I bought the car with ~30K on the clock and the maintainance history is unknown, lets just say that the previous owner cut a few corners on things to lead me to believe that I should replace parts as I go, rather than assuming "light use".

I have done some maintainance items already. All fluids, spark plugs, Walbro pump, TRE Transmission, Clutch, motor mounts, shifter bushings.

Items That should be done (Please add to this list with what you feel is necessary/important)

-T-belt (stronger than OEM)
-*Water pump
-Balance shaft delete kit?

*I have heard that ER has said the evo water pump isnt neccessary at 60K. Truth/rumor/fiction?

I think I may need to do that too. I'm still trying to confirm from the PO if the 60k was done. I'm living dangerously.

I would do the WP if you have the money as added insurance even if its not neccessary as it would suck to not do it and then have to get back in there b/c its gone bad after the fact.

ROFL!

But yeah with the 60k service, it's just generally a good idea to replace all the components in that area at the same time like Ramses said.
So with that said

Timing Belt - OEM is strong enough
BSE if you want, but understand the work going into that by itself (not much but you will be pulling your oil pan off) and not exactly easy with the motor still in the car.
Or just replace your Balance Shaft Belt
Idler Pulley
Balancer Pulley
Tensioner
Water Pump and gasket, O-ring if needed.

Does any one play paintball anymore? No one seems to want to buy my gear. That, or they want to lowball me to death. -___________-

Plenty of people still play paintball. But there is no shortage of used gear on CL. Plus its about to turn cold and wet around here.

True. I think the reason for being low balled is a number of the people looking for gear only have cheap gear to compare everything else to.

That and most people tend to play woods ball, and don't really have the want/need for tournament level markers. And most people in the market for those are looking for higher end. I'm kind of in a limbo area of gear.

It's just sitting in my garage now. I had my fun with it.

Get this Ryan! And change the WP.

http://www.maperformance.com/map-tim...p-tbk-evo.html

Comes with everything except the fluids, but I know you know where to get those at
