2014 EVO X GSR Help
2014 EVO X GSR Help
Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've browsed this site. I've since parted w/ my Mitsu a while ago and moved onto Audi. However, I still have EVO love in my heart. Always will.
I wanted to venture out to you guys and get some advice, considering I've been out of the Mitsu family for a while.
My little brother is in the market for a 2014 WW Evo X GSR. He is looking for the SSL package.
We went to Auburn Mitsubishi and they wanted $38k for one before taxes. We were hoping for $35k-36k.
Is that fair? Any recommendations on dealerships? Should he wait for the 2015? However I heard that the new year w/ be a total new makeover (hybrid?) Thoughts
TIA guys,

TIA guys,
Good luck, I just battled with dealerships for 2012-2013 for two weeks before going to a private party and buying a 2011.
If you're looking to pay 34-35k after taxes you're asking a lot of a dealership. Essentially asking for a brand new car, with the preferred options for 32-33k, my assumption is that it will probably not happen.
There isn't much for options in the northwest right now with evo x's (aside for 08's with 40-60k), I found it difficult to find anything worth paying the average amount (28-32k) without the options I was looking for.
My advice would be to look down the coast. Email and call as many dealerships you can, while letting them know what you year, trim, and colors you're looking for. I've found that to be most effective.

Hit up this guy. Even after flying down to LA, buying a car, driving it back or shipping it back it still ends up being less then most of the WA dealers.. plus you can make it a vacation
California is a great place to buy used cars. The only thing you will find is sand in every crevice. No rust, no terrible mods, etc. The Evo I bought in Cali (~92k miles) was in far better condition than the Evo I bought in Illinois (~50k miles).
