Buy a manual car. truthfully. for the headachs and cost of new tranny and all the other parts welding pedal finding and trying to make it work not worth it. find the car you want in manuel.

I would have to agree. Trade your car in for a manual tranny one. That will save you the most time and money.

okay well thanks for the answers i figured that it would be easier to just go buy a manual transmission car instead of trying to convert it over. i will probably just keep my automatic lancer and just try to figure out how to make it faster. does anyone know what somewhat inexpensive mods i can do to my car to give it more horsepower. cuz right now my car runs 12's in an 1/8 of a mile.

There are tons of threads on this very topic. Just do a search. Basically you have:
1) Short Ram Intake
2) Catback Exhaust
3) Header
4) Piggyback ECU
5) Grounding Kit
6) New Plugs and wires
7) Bored throttle body, intake manifold

Basically everything www.roadracemotorsports.com has to offer. For your first mod though, go with the intake.
