thanks. ya downlow it feels like a beast then redline area feels like it falls on its face alittle. before i had 18* at redline and it felt like it wanted to roll out... so i will slowly add more timing and see what happens. i want to be careful as i add it since e85 can be screwy sometimes.
how much power you plan on making? you're going to love how massive torque feels man...****er spins tires from a 60mph roll in 2nd. god knows what a 2.4L is going to do. its fully spooled by 3800. i love the fp black.

How much power... hum... That is a good question... At a min of 650hp daily. That is my goal, however I'm not going to speculate what it will do on kill but should be really interesting

Rock should be able to get 600+ On a good setup. I just hope to god he doesn't rev it out to 9k like he was talking about. That thing will go KABOOM real quick!!! I think the Black on most "built" cars should be able to make 600 on moderate boost and timing! Looks like we will have 3 or 4 tuned Black cars by the end of May. I guess we will just have to wait and see where everyone ends up.

Ya I have no doubt the 2.4 won't make killer tq. I expect to have 550-600tq, not trying to break anything though!

does a 2.4 rev faster then a 2.3? if so you're gonna have a hard time staying out of it. I accidently reved to 9500 when i had the limiter set to high without even realizing it. its like it feels so good you cant get out of it.
Next is suspension for me, do you got full coilovers? im not sure if rock does or not. I should have went with the Magnus v5 instead of this map intake manifold but the magnus scared me away due to all the custom **** required to fit it. I think ill put it on next time i have to pull the head.
Rock is only pump gas tho. Did he say he was getting meth injection? i hope so... if not we need to convince him to.

This is what R/TErnie cam up with after doing the math. Your limits should be lower, more like 8k. At 8.5k your motor won't last forever and certainly not at 9.5k

Honestly, I don't think it will rev any faster than a 2.3. My setup has more rotational mass... I have a 6mm longer rod and 87mm HD pistons. It will make more tq so it might feel like it is revving faster since your eye lids are pealing off.

I just have pos springs right now. I will be getting coilovers soon, wider wheels w/ 265s, 4.11 gears, shep tcase, and a roll cage here in the next few months... Well I hope to... I think the Magnus v5 is amazing and much better than the MAP pos they call an intake manifold. Sorry, just my opinion, waste of your hard earned money!
I would only support my little Rock running meth injection if he ran 1500cc and Aquamist

what should i do then for track? i wont beable to pass in 4th gear unless i rev to like 8500 right? Normal driving i only go to like 7000 or 7500 max. what a is a 2.3 mm stroke? i dont know any of this stuff LOL.
ya aquamist is good. i had great experience with meth back in 2006 ,so i highly recommend it.

im 28. i look young tho. lol ya i couldnt hold cam, i have a gopro HD but it ran out of batteries. Dumps only gonna open what? 20-30whp? i dont want that loud *** sound, it attracts cops.
EDIT: not like you cant hear my car a mile away as it is tho....... uh......... maybe ill get a dump later. how much louder is it WOT tho? its not like a open downpipe is it? cause thats to loud.

Trapping at 8500ish is not a problem on a 2.3 on occasions. I would not rev to 8500rpm 24/7/365 if you want your motor to last for a few years. I think 7800 will be okay daily. I'm taking the LR2.4 to 8000 daily.
I don't think I'll be able to trap under 8500 with the power that I have in mind on stock VIII gears... That is the reason I'm going with the HKS4.11 gears. Here is the mph listing for the HKS 4.11 Gears with an evo VIII 4th and 5th gear:
Assuming your on a 245/40/18
4th gear 8,000rpms= 144.66mph
4th gear 8,500rpms= 153.7mph
5th gear 8,000rpms= 206.94mph
5th gear 8,500rpms= 219.88mph
As you can see, I won't have to worry about over revving my LR2.4

If you do decide to get a dump, and you should, the only dump you should ever buy, the Shearer 3" dump! You will gain around 30-40hp and increase spool at the same time
Your dump will only open at what your wastegate/EBC allow it to open at. Usually above 20psi. You don't hear it when you just driving around town. You really have to be at 100tp (throttle) and over 20psi for it to crack open. Honestly, at that point your car is already making "noise" and you are probably speeding so I think the dump noise at that point is irrelevant since you are going to get pulled over for racing or speeding and go to jail. I am willing to bet that the cop won't say a thing about how loud your car sounded when you floored it. He is there to bust your ***** for speeding. If anything he might say, "That **** sounded mean!" Here is a video of my car at 520hp on 30psi with the R/TErnie 3" dump, almost the exact same as the Shearer 3", they copied us!!!
