let me get into the built game first and use this for like a year then ill consider doing a long rod. you have to keep in mind i have not really done anything with this evo. i have only put 7k miles on the motor and its been sitting for 9 months. its coming up on two years of ownership. so i want to get it together first have fun with it for awhile and see how your LONG rod motor holds up mikey. YEA i thought i bought a 2.3 was suppose to be but when it came it needed to be cleaned jms took it apart and sent it to machine shop. when it came back all clean then they realized it was a built 2.4 either way i still did not pay full price. the only thing that killed me was the shipping. it was shipped fedex 410 im not happy about that one bit. but motor had all good built parts so thats what matters.

Rock I'm just giving you ****. Well my motor wont be done for another month of so. Look at Aaron's LR2.4. Should be on the Dyno tomorrow with his HTA3586 on full kill.

Honestly I don't think you need a LR. If you have the Black you can't really rev above 8k anyway so the std 2.4 will be just fine!

Rock, saw the TT and 14" brakes. Insane Z you have along with this Evo! The 4 other moufs I have to feed come first for me.

Nice build man good luck.

What exactly is the difference in max revs of the 2.1 (which is a 4G64 with a 4G63 crank), a 2.2, a 2.3, and a 2.4 long rod and a 2.4 standard?

You can rev your 2.4 to 9k... A 2.4 should NEVER EVER see 9k. My 2.4 will be limited to 8k. I may rev to 8.5k at the track or when I'm racing a ZR1 but no higher!

The motor is done but not in the car yet... I would have to ask Aaron. I have not talked to him for a few.
