Rockmanx Fp Black Complete Build thread.
is your car black?? well does not matter now you have a build motor so fun is in your future just have to get that real tune and you can enjoy your car like mikeys. whats up with the guy with the zr1 that lives by you guys he beasting?? i have a small update my exedy clutch was shipped today to strictly so thats good i just have to get the exedy clutch packs did not go to casino yesterday after work I want togo today since im off but cant go on saturdays to busy and hard to win so have to wait till sunday type deal
thanks man I try
. cant really add anything else just a built tranny and TC but im just hold off on that for awhile will not need them. Im focus on once Strictly modified gets my exedy clutch get it rebuilt to brand new status and shipped to JMS then its time for them to rip the drive train apart and install the new clutch along with all the STM goodies i bought. then DYNOTIME for tuning. Have some goodies coming in everything is shipping just waiting on **** to show up. Hopifully my guages are all wired up and working now
My car is AS, Rock. EvoDave CF trunk lid with a Rexpeed Type-1 lip on it. I also have a POS CF hood, but I recently picked up a Robi hood with Aero catch pins already installed (hood is mint!).
I'm not sure who the ZR1 is close to Mikey. Mikey lives 1.5 hours away or so; closer if you take a ferry I suppose. I only know one ZR1 owner, but he is an older guy.

The fact that you know a zr1 owner is cool I suppose he got it as a status type deal. How's your car coming along I knew your car was black or silver
. Why did you bring mikeys car to a carshow dirty???
. Why did you bring mikeys car to a carshow dirty???
lol - I asked Mikey if he wanted his filthy ride washed and he said he didn't really care. Well, I wasn't taking it to the car show, per se, but to drop off with Aaron and swap with my car. Also, it wasn't a car show, it was a meet.

The fortune bolt kit is here. The payment and extra to ship parts should clear paypal tomorrow or wednesday boss. On that upper radiator hose, the only other upper is a blue one that has a solid connection in the center. Is that the one you're speaking of?
Now as your shop/tuner I have a couple of recommendations to you for the blue bomber. I spent the weekend driving it and dialing in the pump map. I have about 300 miles on the motor, everything is running gravy. Motor sounds very strong..it's pulling damn good as of the moment. My recommendations are as follows:
Innovate gauge - It's wired up, you understand this gauge has to be calibrated through a laptop. When I have the cable hooked up and reading it's showing the sensor is "out of timing' in other words no good. That's common for these O2 sensors to go bad and need replacing. Now my issue is, each time say the battery disconnects, or sensor goes bad..you are going to have to recalibrate the gauge yourself with a laptop..to me this gauge is more of a shop/tuner gauge, not one for a daily driver. I already see this causing you a headache and end up frustrating...I highly suggest you pick up an AEM uego wideband...they're self calibrating...so if the sensor goes bad, just replace it and done. The AEM gauge also will match the rest of your gauges as an added bonus, the innovate kind of sticks out right now like a sore thumb.
Clutch - I have read up on the carbon clutch and I was misinformed when I thought that just driving it around ie: stop and go traffic, will heat the clutch up..that's not the case. These clutches need heat straight to the discs meaning they have to be slipped hard...even now in doing so, the clutches still slip a bit up top. I HIGHLY recommend you reconsider a carbon clutch setup...you should either have the Exedy twin disc or triple disc in the car, both cerametallic. The triple would be the better option. The carbon will just wear out too fast and again cause frustrations.
Intercooler and sprayer - The intercooler seems to be working ok, but this one will definitely heat soak when doing full pulls..I highly recommend trying to sell it and pick up a Buschur Race intercooler. Also the Intercooler sprayer, can we go ahead and remove that from the front driverside so we can better clean up the wiring, etc...if you want to leave it that's fine too..but there's no use for it to be honest.
These are my suggestions to you to deliver you a 100% trouble free Evo. I want you to take the car and be able to every morning just turn the key on, drive it, and if you want to race it...race it.
I did research the block height differences with the 64 to the 63 and have adjusted the cam gears accordingly to accommodate that. As I mentioned the car is feeling good.
Yes we have been out of the office and just out in the bays as of late
So reading that Today I was already on it.
ok boss here is whats up I just purchased a Exedy twin HD clutch LOL told you I would do that as soon as you said its slipping etc which i thought was wild.
