I agree that the center is ugly, but those wheels look great on our cars when they are the right color and with the right tires. I hope ur not thinking about spray painting the wheels...maybe for the stock wheels thats ok, but not for a wheel u spent good $ on. The finish will look like crap up close unless you you are good with fine grit sanding and surfacing the clear coat...and it won't last too long on the road with debris and all kinds of weather and stuff. I think powedercoating is the best option to get a nice, durable finish on the wheel

If I spray the wheels, i will use my gun and do base/clear on them. I have sprayed many sets of wheels with base/clear. I always lay at least 3 coats of clear on them to protect them from the debris. I have thought of painting them a darker gunmetal/bronze color. Leave the polished lip, everything else, paint.

I have also debated matte blacking the whole wheel but the lip. Hmmm, too many choices.

eb/bronze is an awesome combo. glad to see you found an VIII bumper too, yours is in much better condition then mine. Plus I'm still pretty attached to it...literally

eb/bronze ftw:

I remember seeing your car at the shootout when it was silver. I remember your plate tucked away in the bumper lol.

I have decided to paint the wheels. I am leaving the polished lip. I am painting the centers though. There are 3 different colors I am deciding on still.

Black Granite Metallic, (Off the 2011 Chevy malibu)

OR

Phantom Black (off Evo X)

yes the car came from Minnesota. It is a very clean EB evo with clean mods done. I am very happy with my purchase. Im changing things just to make it "my" car now lol. I have nothing against the mods that were on the car when I bought it.

I am excited to get the wheels done! I should have pics on friday. I am taking them to my old school where I can use the booth still. So, by fri night, they will be finished.

So, how hard does she hit w/ that Green on E85?

Did you come from another evo?
You know, I thought about bidding for this IX...hehe

I have had 2 other evos, one was pretty much stock, boost and all. The last 03 white one I had, was stock turbo at 27psi.

The hta green hits quick. It gives a nice hard pull all the way. I came from my 1g with a 3065 though. That turbo, although, late in spool up, scared the **** out of me at 28psi. So I was a little dissapointed when I first drove the car with the hta green, but, I know this thing would just eat my old 1g, just cause it hits almost as hard as the 3065, but does it A LOT sooner!

Just playing around today, threw a rim on there and gave it a few pumps on the jack to get it in the wheel well where it should be sitting when finished. I got BC Ram series coilovers coming from Brian(Most-wanted) later this week. I will get those ad boys on and have the tires mounted. I ended up going with the Hankook v12 tires in a 255/35/18.

I love the side profile of the rims. A little concave to them, yet they sit in the fenders nice, no hellaflush here!

Great looking car w/ premium setup!

Enjoy.

I think the SSL package definitely take our evos up a comfort notch for a daily...

haha, i like the leathers, but I have actually been tryin to swap someone for the 9 gsr seats, with no luck.

I wont try forever though, eventually, Ill just give up and accept the leathers. I like the leathers, but its something about the colors of the 9 gsr seats, I like. I would love to find a set of clean evo 7 seats, that would be ideal!!
