great fab work, but until i see some graphs showing improved spool/low end tq its just bling bling.

This is a pic of Sheps Header! It's not an Evo, but it went 7's!

AMS Drag Evo 8.42@ 171MPH

DS9 8.42@271KPH

Just to name a few!

Craftsmanship looks great. Didnt read past the first page, but with the wastegate right next to the airfilter, might effect the power unless you add a shield of sorts.

just because it works on a drag car, doesnt mean it will work well on a street car. ALL of those cars listed sacrificed low end torque for high end horsepower. exactly what your manifold does. you said that the spool up would be unaffected, but the transient response and spool up will suffer because the turbo wont see the same heat and the exhaust has to travel farther before it hits the turbine. these engines make more torque then any other 4 cylinder ive ever seen, and to sacrifice that for high end horsepower just to do something different doesnt make sense to me.

again beautiful work, you are very talented. i just like to call it as i see it.

I appreciate the compliments! And I will match your idea in calling as you see. You specifically said "i dont see any of the fastest evos in the world running a manifold like this."

Which in turn, you were shown that just about all of the worlds fastest/most powerful Evo's/4G63's/all other small displacement 4 cylinders do in fact run a long tube header design.

Had you said "I don't see any of fastest Evo's in the world running a manifold like this that also didn't make any sacrifices to any area of the powerband to ultimately gain large amounts of power in the specific RPM range that they are most commonly used at in a motorsports application" then you would've been dead on!

And had I or Zach or anyone else said "this header will beat all others in spool up and low end torque gains as well as top end power," then you would certainly have ground to stand on to call it as you see it.

All bickering aside, it's making 18.2 psi at 4280 rpm on a level road in 4th gear. If someone has accurate data like that from their 3582R system, then the comparison will be easy, and there will be no theories or "people say" situations to deal with.

There should be a VD graph for everyone sometime over the weekend if Zach gets around to pulling a log. I think for now he's just enjoying driving it and having a really fun Evo.

Have a good weekend everybody.

I'll never understand it either Aaron. Its like the haters want an apology for not buying a manifold for the sole purpose of MAX POWER! Saw zachs posts about dialing in the new injectors last weekend. Might take a trip soon down to see george. How far are you guys from him?

Come on down! They're like 4 hours away, but Zach's coming up here after Christmas!

Well haven't posted in awhile had a spark plug come apart on me in my engine kind of destroyed my cylinder head and ate number 2 piston. Got the car back together with all new springs retainers +1 valves and some good port work. Got the car back together driver it for a couple of months and **** something happened again.

I was cruising home one day after work tired not even hitting it starts rod knocking. Locked the car up had to call a roll back and back to the machine shop I go. Thanks to Marco at Magnus i got a new crank. I also ordered H beam rods and a set of new pistons and bearings, complete studded block and new set of rings and 20 hrs after having the engine came back from a good friend Chris Nelson Of Nelson Competition she was on the road again and just put 550 break in miles on her.

I will have pics up soon.

*Move to Build Section Please*

So sick man. Sucks it's taking you several engines to get you where you want to be, I give you props for keeping at it. In for further progress!

Here are two different VD Graphs of Zach's car when it was on stock block 18psi and 22psi. I rode in the car and the throttle and boost response was unbelievable the graph does not do the car justice. These were done in third gear.
