I purchased this car brand new from Don Herring Mitsubishi in Irving, TX on June 5th, 2010. It has been in my possession ever since and all maintenance has been kept 100% current and up-to-date (all records kept and available). All modifications have either been installed myself or professionally by Cobb Tuning in Plano, TX. The car has been professionally tuned by Calvin Dotson at Cobb Tuning for 93-octane with a 91-octane safe map (great for roadtrips utilizing on-the-fly map-switching, you could also use this for pump/E85 tunes). This car has never been run on E85, but I do have an E85 base map if you want to go that route. The car is frequently hand washed & clay-barred and kept with a fresh coat of wax at all times. It is garage parked at home and work. The paint is just as glossy now as it was brand new with no flaws to speak of outside of the typical rock chips that come with mileage. The body is straight with no door dings at all! The interior is in perfect condition and has always been kept clean and odor-free (non-smoker, no pets in the car, and frequent FreshBreeze charcoal/baking soda impregnated cabin air filter changes).

The car is currently putting down 425whp and 400wtq which has proven to be a very reliable power level with this setup. I trust this car to drive anywhere and have taken it on four cross-country roadtrips and numerous long-distance cruises. If you're coming from out of town I will pick you up from the airport (DFW or DAL) and make sure you're left with fresh oil & fluids so you can drive it home that day without fuss. The stock clutch is still holding strong and shifts perfectly. The car has never been drag-launched or had the clutch dumped. The engine oil has been regularly changed with Mobil 1 Extended Protection 10W-30 & Mitsubishi OEM oil filters. Redline transmission fluids and Mitsubishi DiaQueen OEM drivetrain gear oils have been exclusively used, all changed annually. I have never dragged, tracked, raced, or autocrossed this car; it has not been used in any type of track event, period.

I am more than willing to take the car in for a professional inspection at the shop of your choosing (I suggest Cobb or Don Herring since they've known this car it's entire life, but that is up to you). Registration sticker is good through 05/15 and state inspection sticker is good through 07/14. The ECU does pass OBD-II emissions tests!

As you'll see below, I have taken daily-driven comfort and noise into consideration while modifying the car. This is one of the quietest modified Evos you'll find; it is perfectly comfortable for long drives and quiet enough to carry on a phone conversation over the Bluetooth system.

Feel free to ask any other questions if there is something I missed, or if you'd like to dig deeper into the details! Maintenance records will be provided for serious buyers. A small deposit will hold the car for an interested out-of-town buyer. I will go over all the records and do a complete walk through of the car and Accessport maps if the buyer so desires. I can also help arrange overnight accommodations and transportation if necessary. Please PM me if you'd like my email address or phone number.

Did you do any engine internals when you had your Evo x? Or was it all but the internals when you were pushing 425whp with 400tq? Because I'm trying to get my X up to at least 400whp but I need to figure out what the safe tq is for the stock internals.

Bone stock block and head. I sold it at 70k miles and the stock internals were having no problems holding 425/400

I know this thread is old af, but I wanted to say what an amazing build. I read every word and was surprised at how much my goals matched what you did. I want a DD with a decent amount of spunk. Well documented and overall exteremely informational, I just picked up a 2011 WW GSR and am excited to start my journey, only 37k on it, and it came with some decent mods already. Thanks again!

You could always buy a C7 Corvette and check out my work over there on CorvetteForum! LOL

I haven't modded that anywhere near as far as I did either of my Evo's or 5 DSMs though; it just doesn't need it.
