MAP Stage 2 LR 2.4L Build
I want to build a motor for my Evo 9 that will make a ton of torque and also be reliable like you have stated. I need to come up with a plan of attack to do it right the first time and am just looking for ideas from those who have more experience with different setups. I want to make anywhere from 500-600whp and try to get my torque numbers the same. Right now I am running an AMS fmic w/ their short route piping, STM intake, FIC 1100s, 255lph in-tank, manual boost controller, and AMS turbo back w/ Megan Racing o2 housing. I want to go all out on the build, I'm talking AEM standalone, 4-channel wideband, Sheptrans transmission and t-case, need advice on what clutches are streetable that can handle the power/torque, definitely want a tubular turbo manifold and I was looking into the BorgWarner EFR turbos. I'm going to run all staintless braided hoses for everything, do a tuck myself, all that. I read Import Tuners 2.4L build using the '00 Galant motor and it was somewhat helpful, but I want testimony from those who have gone this route, videso, dynographs, etc. Give me some advice if you can, I am waiting to make my own thread and then going to log the build shortly after I get everything planned out and start purchasing everything I need!

Popular combo:
LR2.4L
S3s
Magnus
If you want more torque, run a ported stock IM and S2s, and an HTA3582 with a small tube manifold, and make sure to run corn.
Yes, I got my shotblock from MAP. No sense to build it yourself when the parts were almost the same price as buying it assembled

Headed back to PA from the Midwest for good on Monday.
The official plan is this:
-Throw the Ohlins on.
-Get the Whiteline Roll Center kit on.
-Press Energy Moustache bushings in.
-Align (-2.5F, -1.8R).
-Tune the Stock IX turbo on 93, get used to the car [it's been so long], then upgrade turbo when I'm sick of it.

Just spoke with my brother, and he's hoping to bring his car out too. We're doing a manual swap on his 325ix (AWD), so his car should be pretty fun out there too.
Thanks man, and no worries!
For sure! Headed to JMFab in the morning to get a couple loose ends tied up here.

Been driving around on a base tune and put about 100 miles on her today. Everything seems to be rock solid, and dang, for 15psi on the stock turbo, this thing rips.

I'm down, she's getting tuned on Tuesday night, so sometime after that! Are you coming down to Philly any time soon? My good buddy has a 2.4/25g we just finished up that's awaiting a tune as well, so I'll see if I can get him to come out too. That would be a hell of a comparison.
I'm really just hoping to break/touch 400whp on the IX turbo on 93. That's been my goal for awhile now.
