I would gap to about .022 and i use bpr8es for e85. i been only using copper which suck.. but i have a bunch of copper plugs to burn out before i switch to iridium.. iridium is way better though and last 10x longer.

regarding the fuel.. its probably worse then cali 91oct.. and thats like 50% water lol.

Maybe I'll ship you a can of some of my 93 to see what you can get out of it
Oh, you are applying the pressure, my friend. I am sure that everything will get worked out for sure this week.

As for the pump/93 offer, well, you can send that if you like but where I am from there are E85 stations all over the place.

Should be a fun setup!

Based on the feedback I have received about the head, it may be the one part of the build that could be holding me back. Like I said, I was not there when the head was installed and I believed what I was told by the seller. I believe, at a minimum, that some porting was done but I will have to pull up the details of the emails I exchanged with the seller. As for the price, once I deducted what I sold my old head for, it was only a $500 difference. Oh well, I am learning and would have no issue putting a MAP Stage 3 head on my TO BUY list.

Tom, I did some looking at the BPR7ES spark plugs that I have in the car. I was under the impression that the original gap was .027 which by itself is fairly large. Well, to my surprise, the gap is actually .032 if you read towards the bottom of this page:

http://www.proracestore.com/index.ph...ducts_id=24949

The BPR7ES plugs that are presently in the car, I will properly gap to .022 today in preparation for the pump/91 tweaks. I honestly cannot wait for the E85 tune as it is not safe for me to get tuned with water instead of gasoline.

ya .032 is what they are from ngk im surprised it didnt break up even at 24psi with that huge gap.

i think on good 93 it would make nice numbers, but its kind of pointless to try and push the car on crappy fuel when you have e85.

but we will see what we can make on the 91 just for fun.

Stock ignition, br8es plugs gapped at about .020-.022 making 620whp @ 30psi on strait pump gas and 720 on pump and meth at 38psi with no break up issues. When I run strait pump gas plugs last...well very long on every setup I have used. If I run meth on the daily/very often plug life drops off fast. If I run meth every day they will last about 3k.

I agree, my friend. I will log the last ROM you sent to me for your review tonight as it is going to nearly 100-degrees today in southern Arizona. I feel comfortable with how the car is responding on water at 24PSI. I would like to take this next run up to nearly 9,000 as I have never been in that range before as it was not needed since I was on the stock turbo. I mean, if the turbo can flow up to that point without falling off, then why leave all of that power on the table. At this current time, I believe there is slightly less than a half tank and I will drive the car everywhere I go (and my wife as well) in order to burn it off so that we can get the E85 tune started after Memorial Day.

This is great, my friend. And so you are talking about the BR8ES and not the BPR8ES, right? I see that it would be a good practice to change my spark plugs with every oil change given your time of use when you run meth.

Correct br8es. And yeah a extra 12$ at a oil change isnt bad vs. the pricey up front cost of a ignition system.

If you run the irids you wont hanve to. They will last a ton longer and you wont have to change them as much.
