I own an EVO too and I have been working on them more and more lately.

I rebuilt Aaron's transfer case and rear end, first try lol. They turned out great. I have been thinking about becoming a vendor on this site too but I am not sure if its a good idea especially since all the turbos I make are rather large.

I don't think they will sell so great....
Here is a pic of my newest one.

nice man. whats the highest HP car youve built? i know when it comes to V8's and turbos it puts our 4 cyl numbers to shame.

Car was idle surging because we thought the throttle plate angle screw was the same as the biss on a stock throttlebody lol.. so we kept changing it and it kept surging.. i was so confused, so was he. then he called the place he got the TB from and they explained it was a plate angle adjuster not a idle screw..

and not sure if you know or not, but if you adjust the plate angle at a certain angle its not possible to remove the surge without massive iscv changes.. and we had the plate way out of adjustment so it was a pain in the ***.. if you were there helping him in person i think it would of been much easier on myself though.. because me and you would of been able to diagnose it much quicker.. vs him and me. im sure he will agree.

regardless, i was kind of scared when he sent me the first video of the car idling on youtube link to me though on AIM.. first thing i said was is the engine cold? it sounds like theres a exhaust leak.. it sounds very very loud.. in a very unhealthy way.

Tom, the Boombas can be a real pain to get right (as you know) especially when putting them on the car with a full build and a bunch of other new parts...

I suspect thats why the motor won't move.
OMG! Aaron didnt use loctite i guess. I always use blue or red loctite.

that's a relief the engines ok.

well that's why i was confused. i did 3 other cars with Boombas without even knowing it.. i went and did a index search on boomba in the stored tuning stuff i keep and found 3 other cars i tuned with that TB with no issues or reports of surging.

so then i did more research and found out the screw wasn't what i thought it was. Aarons TPS was reading off also in %'s so it was off in voltage and stuff also.
