To do the 5 speed swap i didnt buy a kit or anything ...i just got all the pieces ...but its the :
5 speed
shifter
Shifter base
Trans mount
Shifter cables

...but if you look on ebay you can get lucky and score the shifter/base/cables already assembled ...and make things way easier

I saw one on ebay the other day...time to go shopping.

What about flywheel and clutch? I was searching but no one mention anything about it. can i just re-use the one from 6 spd?

and yea man clutch and flywheel are good to go .. not a single change needed just enjoy the amazing new power band and not having to shift every 5 seconds lol .. oh and not having a trans made out of glass lmao

oh and in reusing your old clutch i would verify it is in good condition .. and if it will handle your future power plans .. cuz while the trans is out is the best time to replace it .. save your self some time and labor fees and money overall .. i learned that the hard way lol

ok so today we got the old block, trans, and tcase out...power washed the engine bay... finished the long block... put the new Quaife LSD in the T-case... but again another snag .. when we were tearing the old block down, taking the trans off and checking the clutch it turned out one of the clutch disks and the spline hub near that disk were all jacked up and had to be replaced ..so the prevented the whole thing from being bolted back up and fired up .. but oh well tomorrow should be the 1st break in day.. get the new clutch parts button the drive train up and get her ready to rock ... just hope those parts dont take all day to come in lol and make me wait for nothing while other things could be gettin done haha

Ok so today's update is prob on of the best and one of my most excited to post .... got the long block buttoned up, got the clutch issues all fixed, got the t-case bolted up, new motor mounts on and the engine, trans, t-case all installed... got everything hooked up to the engine, turbo and piping all bolted up, and got the 1st start on the new motor started right up no issues All that is left to do is downpipe, front axles, throw the wheels on, a few gauges and break that motor in!! tomorrow is gonna be a cruising day!!!
