"Darwin" build - Take 2
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
BUT, the car looks great. Love the wrinkle black/orange in the bay. Very nice!

So, Ive got her back together and motor broken in .. took it up to get tuned and make some power .. was shooting for 800-850.. make the 3 hr drive to get tuned strap her down .. and get her all dialed in .. then when we start throwing power at her we start getting a misfire .. ignition is starting to go .. so we had to base line it and leave it alone until swap out my COP to a full CDI and then she'll be set and good to rock ..
I get back home and after and very fun journey with lots of stutters and misfires i get the wild hair to take a look at the coils and see if there is anything visible .. missing spring .. water.. etc .. well i pull it off and low and behold .. Coil 4 is corroded to hell ... FML .. so ive replace the that coil and she is running much smoother ... however im still going to wait and get a CDI ignition to just because being on stock ECU and only a COP just wont cut it

Vid of her before things went downhill this was 6K rpm and hardly any boost at all !!

haha I love pics and its cool to see things while they are apart .. im a visual/hands on learner so it helps me .. so why not share... and building yourself is so much fun .. very nerve wracking but its nice when it pays off and you get complimented on how well you built something but shop techs and tuners

I guess I'm just nervous about failing especially if I spend like 2-3k on parts for it to go up in smoke.. but I'm a visual/hands on learner as well. Essentially that's how I first started working on cars. My cars 5 year transferable warranty ends this year so its whatever lol. Best of luck with the car tho.

yea man I hear you on that .. this was my 1st build like i said and going for 800+ whp i was shaking when we were doing pulls on the dyno .. and the entire time i was doing break in .. but as long as you make sure your torque specs and clearances are right where they need to be youll be good to go man
