SIM EVO 8 1000HP 2013 Evo Eliminator Build!
+1,
I love radical builds like this, and am no hater by any means. But come onnnnn... eclipse ECU.... I understand that's what you know, and I don't know anything about it, is it just to prove a point? Has to be something. Budget is obviously not an issue. Why not the new AEM Infinity, or proEFI, or stock ECU, ViPec, ect ect???

But the end result of the car if we reach our goals and do it on a 2g ecu would be out standing. And I think we would have the highest hp/et on link in an Evo in the world
The ecmlink is a great setup. If they would make it for EVO I would do it instantly. It is so much easier to usemore consistent and has much better logging setup than EVOscan. Plus it isn't much more than a Tactrix cable plus EVOscan. It is also consistent and they do lots of r and d. On a DSM the speed density base map is awesome. It does have a few small issues die to ECU limits but on a newer ECU it would be that much more awesome.
We have not started ripping the car apart yet but have started on the short block and parts.
We got an opportunity to run 1 more time this coming weekend on our current setup and are giving our past goals 1 last shot.. We were trying o run a 10.7 on our FF HX35 T3 setup on stock block but recently blew a head gasket and am floating the valves on stock springs with K272's We are doing a head gasket and installing our Kiggley HP Beehives and Turning the boost up to see if we can get her in the 10's Wish us luck I will have pictures and videos next week.
ECMlink is just fine. It has more features than ECUflash and is easier to use in my opinion. There are some issues but nothing to great. As far as tech from the 90s vs a 2005 ECU...well there is actually not that much difference to be honest. The knock control has been refined but more or less everything works the same, Mitsu changes very little else between the years.
There are also cars that have run 170 on Link.
I am interested in seeing how this goes

I'm an EFR fan boi, but I think you're going to be hard pressed to hit 1000whp on an MD with a 9180.
And it's great to try and make big power numbers with some strange ECU. But talk about not getting with the times.

If you went 147mph on an AFC, imagine how fast you would go on a real ECU. Honda guys are running 8's@180mph and cutting 1.5x sixty foots on a 24.5" tire. Imagine how much quicker your car would go with a real ECU.
Well we did it. We were able to reach our goal of a 10 sec pass on stock block.
We finished this weekend with a best of 10.8 @ 132mph still could not get the launch dialed in and walked away with a 1.9 60 ft
the car was on 30 psi of boost. Te car still has a lot left in it but the build needs to start so it is tear down time
