My Brazilian Evo8 GSR - SAFE whp?!.
Hello Guys, im talking from Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL.
My evo, its a VIII GSR 5Speed 04/05 50k kilometers.
I rarely use the car, eventualy in my weekends, short rides.
I really like trackdays, this is the principal objetive of the car.
In 2012 i did 6 trackdays, without penalties/failures, the car always perfect on track.
The actual car setup
- Stock 2.0L Internals
- Stock Turbo
- Stock Head
- Stock Cams
- Stock Injectors
- Stock 02 Housing
- Stock Intake
- Stock Intake Manifold
- Cosworth Inbox Filter
- Megan Racing Exhaust Manifold - Ebaygeneric
- Full Greedy 3" Exhaust
- Walbro 255lph In Tank
- ACT Stage II Clutch & Flywheel
- Stock ECU Remap
- "Podium GAS" @ Brazil - 95octane
@ Dastek AWD Dyno - 403hp @ 343whp.
I sincerely dont think that the car has this power. It seems like a "happy customers dyno".
I really want more power, so, i was thinking about the new configuration.
- FP GREEN 73HTA
- JM FAB Exhaust Manifold Twin Scroll Stock Replacement
- JM FAB O2 Housing Recirculated
- HKS Reloaded Intake
- AMS FMIC + Pipes
- ID or FIC 1000cc Injectors
- Aeromotive 340 In Tank
- AMS Oil Sump (TrackDay Use)
Doubt 1
- Stock cams or kelford/HKS 272 ?!
Doubt 2
- Stock Internals
- With this configuration, what is the SAFE CONDITIONS for trackdys use ?!
Doubt 3
- My project its "supersized"? Many upgrades when i can get more power using less stuffs?!
Doubt 4
- I have here 3 options for ECU. Stock ECU Remap x AEM x VIPEC88
This new configuration was recommended by some tuners here in Brazil.
I will use the brazilion premium gas, called "PODIUM", 95octanas.
I just wanna push all day long at trackdays, with safe conditions.

I love the vipec, but whatever your tuner is comfortable using. I would recommend the Stock ECU... ECUFlash. Work with a ECU tuning guru here on the forums to do a remote tune on your car. I recommend English Racing.

Dou you think with the OEM Cam, using FP Green, i can do nice tune? With the OEM Cam i feel no power after 7k rpm.
About the brazilian gas, here we have a gas called "podium", with IAD 95octane and RON 102, 20% of ethanol.
I read more threads, do you think i can achieve 400WHP @ 1.6BAR @ FP GREEN + Periferics in safe conditions, using stock internals?!
203, aqui no RJ tem uns 4 ou 5 evos. Em SP deve ter mais uns 20/25...
