It should clean it up some for sure. I also redid the trans harness and the alt/starter harness.

Bot that it helps anything other then looks... But have you routed your harness under the intake mani yet? Everything fits perfect except the factory injector wires... They need to be pulled back out of the loom a bit and then they fit perfect. Looks so much nicer..

Quick question. I just re did my start/alt harness. But as I look at at it I was wondering if I can delete the black fuse that the 3 power wires connect to.

Follow me???

No you can not delete it . ( if it is the one I think you are talking about, as it holds the 100 amp fuse for the alternator)

if you want to delete it, ensure that you have a protection fuse inbetween the alternator power line to the battery. I used a circuit breaker

I actually deleted that fuse a while back with no issues... I even had an issue once where my alternator got a bad signal and was hitting 15/16volts. Havent managed to burn the car down yet but i honestly dont suggest anyone play with fate like i have...

*assumptions*
Protect the battery from overamping charge from alternator, if alternator gets an internal winding to winding fault or if there is a fault on the line going from the battery to the alternator.

The second of those is most likely to occur.

How is the wiring coming along? I remember doing wiring weight reduction years ago on one of my DSM's. In the end, I had no power windows and something else did not work. No idea where I went wrong. I think I may start one of these days on mine but I will be starting from the back to the front.

Wiring poject is done. I am just waiting to get the car together to see if it works or not. I did not go crazy with it. I kept it very very simple and only removed what was not plugged in or used. Otherwise it was left alone. There are pics here on the other page before this one.

Thats exactly what I did also. I think its a safe route to take if you aren't up for doing something like Warren (antilag_200) did. I saved the most weight with the damn abs harness lol.

I thought you were going a little further than that. Hopefully everything works right. Nice thing about the RS, no abs crap to remove.

I wanted to go nuts with it. I bought a chase bay harness and was ripped off big time. I ended up buying a new RS harness and just did what I did to it. That is enough for me. Ha
